Interstellar: Light Years is a hypothetical first person sci-fi RPG game that I created audio for as a part of my final major college project. It is a spin off of Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar' (2014) and makes several references to the original score composed by Hans Zimmer. It is set a few decades later, where the next generation of astronauts have to venture through a wormhole to Edmund's planet to evacuate the people who have set up camp there for potential colonisation after Earth becomes uninhabitable. The planet must be evacuated due to new found information of two deadly neutron stars about to collide in close proximity to cause a kilonova.

Creating spin offs is a fun way of incorporating my own style into existing music that I enjoy, as well as add my own new ideas to that particular universe. The soundtrack blends some electronic synths and pads with mallets and orchestral instruments, which I feel are some of the best additions for making a track sound epic, intense and emotional. The game has 7 tracks, including the title theme, space station, launch through a wormhole, a supermassive black hole theme, Edmund's planet, pulsar track and the kilonova explosion finale. Listen to the album and view the track list above!
